Lake Qaraoun is an artificial lake located in the southern region of the Bekaa valley, Lebanon. it was created in 1959 near the Qaraoun village and extends to Saghbine,Mashgara,Bab Marae, Aitanit near by villages where lots of previous agriculture lands have been filled by water. The dam is 61meter high concrete rock filled which is the largest dam in Lebanon.
