Palitaw Recipe
Palitaw in tagalog means "to surface". It's made from malagkit or sticky rice. The name itself says that when the sticky rice dough "floats" or "surface" it means that they are done. Palitaw are dipped in grated coconut and sugar - roasted sesame seeds.
Palitaw is easy to make and delicious.

Palitaw Recipe (Sweet Rice Cake)
Ingredients:
1/4 kilo galapong (already made sticky rice dough)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
1 cup grated coconut
*If you don't have galapong. Put 3/4 cup of water to 1 or 1/2 cup of rice flour and knead to form a galapong (sticky rice dough).
Procedure:
1.Flour your hands and pinch 1/2 or 2 tbsp of dough and mold it into a ball shape and flatten using the palm of your hand.
2. Drop the flatten dough in a boiling water.
3. When the flatten dough float it means it's done.
4. Dip palitaw in grated coconut and sugar-roasted sesame seeds. Arrange it in a plate and serve.
