Baby flying-fox in care, day 2: this is Swizzlestick

Swizzlestick is an 11 week old Grey-Headed Flying-Fox who was found hanging low in the colony. She was brought to me for assessment and care. She has a fracture in her left humerus but it's far enough away from the joint to be potentially fixable by being pinned. Adrian our awesome vet was happy to attempt this. All Swizzlestick had to do was survive a few days and not succumb to the disease which is causing most of the batties coming into care to die within 24-36 hours, and to have an x-ray to show the type and positioning of the break. Swizzi managed to get through day 2 and her x-rays, and the analgesia patch appeared to be sufficient that she was comfortable, making her set for the surgery on day 3.
